Which are the advantages of inkjet technology?

Digital decoration provides a greater flexibility and major advantages in managing and preparing the production, among which are:

  • Great versatility in the design
  • Greater graphic variety
  • Less product development time
  • Disappearance of the printing tool
  • More stable productive system in tone, ink and temperature
  • Less manpower dependence
  • Printing of millions of m² without having to change the heads
  • Decoration without contact: Possibility of decorating tiles with relief, large format or low thickness
  • Prints 100% of the tile
  • Greater printing quality level and amount of production opposite the rotary printer
  • Optimization of the production as there are no broken tiles

What makes Cretaprint machines the best option in the market?

Cretaprint has become synonym of quality and reliability. Our digital ceramic printers provide unique benefits and features in the market which mark the difference.

  • Modularity:3 to 8 printing bars, adapting to your current production requirements considering the possible future changes and thereby optimising the investment
  • Open ink system: You choose the ink supplier that best adapts to your needs, being able even to print with different inks on ach printing bar.
  • Individual temperature control per printing bar.
  • Electronic head alignment
  • Centering precision (maximum 0.3 mm)
  • Stable recirculation systems
  • Greater ink viscosity, thereby achieving more intense colours
  • Double aspiration per printing bar
  • Cretaprint own software in continuous development and with top market features
  • The most efficient cleaning system in the market which allows stopping for less time for cleaning and maintenance, thereby maximising the production and avoiding downtimes.

What formats can I print with Cretaprint digital printers?

Cretaprint printers perfectly adapt to the different printing widths.

  • Cretacompact: Up to 700 mm printing width
  • Cretaprinter: Up to 1,120 mm printing width
  • Double Tile Printing: Different formats and different designs in one single machine

Cretaprint digital printers can currently reach up to 3 meters printing length, being the only machine in the market to reach this printing size in production.

What inks should I use in Cretaprint printers?

Cretaprint ink system is open for any supplier Inks must have been previously certified by our laboratory to subsequently perform a test at an industrial level in order to assure its good operation.

Currently our certified inks are:

  • Itaca-esmalglass
  • Ferro
  • Torrecid
  • Fritta
  • Colorobbia
  • Inco
  • Vidres
  • Vernis
  • Bonet
  • Coloresmalt
  • DEF
  • Salquisa

Our laboratory staff is constantly in contact with all the colorificios with the aim of always improving the performance of the inks and continues to enlarge the number of certifications, making the range of possibilities from where to choose from as extensive as possible for our clients.

On the other hand our system enables the use of inks from different suppliers in one same machine, always with the assessment and supervision from our team of experts.

How is the star-up of a Cretaprint inkjet printer?

The star-up is performed totally by Cretaprint specialized technicians and the process usually last around 24 days.  It is essential for the cabin where the printer is going to be placed to be prepared to house it inside.

It is during the first weeks when the placing, levelling, wiring and assembly of the printer take place. Subsequently the task of calibrating the printing system is carried out to obtain optimum production results. Finally, the first printing tests are performed and users are trained in the use of the printer. Out technicians will be present during the first production days, assessing the design department in how to prepare the images to be printed. We thereby assure you achieve maximum performance from your Cretaprint inkjet printers from the first day.

How are the cleaning cycles on Cretaprint inkjet printers?

In normal conditions, the machine can operate continuously without having to perform regular cleaning cycles. In the best of occasions, the machine can be up to 8 hours without cleaning the printing system. The user configures the cleaning cycles according to his own production requirements, selecting both the frequency of the cleaning and the duration of the process. This is only possible on Creatprint printers thanks to their unique ink recirculation system, which reduces the need to continuously clean and thereby maximizes their productivity.

What designs can I print with Cretaprint printers?

All the images we wish to use on our ceramic designs must be subject to a prior preparation process. We can use and original material to work with our designs, although it is necessary to adapt them to the colour system used in ceramic injection printers. The colours we can see on a computer or on a photograph taken with our camera are represented by the combination of primary colours that do not correspond with the inks used in ceramic printers.  Moreover, the combination of inks and colours we can use is extensive, for which the designs must be prepared specifically for the printer and the configuration of every client. At Cretaprint’s Training department we provide all the information and assessment necessary to get to know the image preparation process.

What technical assistance does Cretaprint provide?

Cretaprint’s objective is to achieve the client’s complete satisfaction whatever his need is.  To achieve it we have created different technical assistance profiles depending on the client’s needs and situation.

  • Local technical assistance in a large number of countries.
  • Central assistance from the Call Center department.
  • Remote assistance through internet for direct connection with the printer.
  • Printer software and hardware updating service
  • Instructions manual, support and technical documentation
  • Training for our clients on inkjet technology, how to work with it and more specifically with Cretaprint systems.

What advantages does Cretaprint remote assistance provide?

The remote assistance allows initiating a technical assistance session as soon as the client contacts us. We therefore recommend our clients to connect the printer to Internet in order to offer them this service.  Through remote assistance we can perform tasks of assessment, diagnosis, configuration, detection of anomalies, monitoring the production, support to specialized technicians and software updates.  The software that governs the printer is in continuous development to offer the best work experience with Creatprint printers, for which we offer our clients the possibility of keeping their ceramic inkjet printer up to date, with the latest software. We also listen to our clients’ suggestions and take them into consideration in the continuous development of our printers.
